It feels weird to talk about myself, to tell the world, or at least those who would listen, who I am and why you should care. My first instinct is that you shouldn’t really care. There are more important things in this world to care about. I’m not solving the problems of the world. There won’t be fewer hungry people in the world because of things that I say here. There will most certainly not be an end to war. In fact, I’m not offering any substantial contribution to this world that we live in.

My second instinct? Actually, it still rests with the idea that you shouldn’t care about me or why I’m here. However, you are here, so I will assume you are here for a perfectly valid reason. Thus, I will tell you what I offer, to you, my esteemed visitor.

I offer an escape. I provide an opportunity to stop thinking, for however a brief moment, about the responsibilities of work and family, of all the things in this world that pile up and continue to kick you when you least expect it. I also ramble about other random thoughts that cross my mind. However, there are no politics here and no world news.

I offer a glimpse into a fantastical world of my own design. I offer non-fiction when the need arises, most often for my own sanity. I offer fiction because sometimes the real world can be so hard to live in, and we all need a break from time to time.
